Pay-As-you-Go/E-Tag Service

For those customers who either do not want another waste bill coming in, or simply just do not have enough waste or recycling for a weekly collection, can avail of our Pay as you go system. McElvaneys will send a Rep out to your house at a time and date that suits you. Our Rep will provide you with 2 bins, one for waste and one for recyclables. A Bin Collection Calender will be given to show you collection days in your area.

How does the E-Tag system work?

The E-Tag works on the same prinicpal as prepaid mobile phones. Each time a bin is emptied the cost is deducted from your account.

• 240 litre Waste Bin                      €10.00
• 240 litre Recycling bin                   €5.00

Please Note: Your account must have €15 credit on it before you present your wheelie bin for collection.

Service Charge

A service charge of €30 for six months (€5/month) applies to this service.

This service charge is payable in advance twice yearly at the beginning of January & July.

To Pay Your Service Charge or Top Up Your Account

1. Visiting any Payzone outlet listed below and present your E-Tag card and pay the desired amount.
2. Calling McElvaney's at 0429744230 - Pay/Top up using Debit/Credit Card.

Text Alerts

When we have received your top up from the Payzone outlet, we will send you a text message confirming this top up along with verification of your new account balance. Please note that as it takes 48 hours for payment to reach us from payzone, you must top up your account a minimum of 48 hours before you present your wheelie bin for collection.

Once your account balance fall's below €15.00, you will be notified by text message that your account balance is now below the minimum required amount to get your bins emptied.

Please Note:  1. Bins must have lid fully closed.

                         2. Please ensure that your account is topped up before collection day.
